Join our HAPPY Early Childhood Academic childcare center as a Prep Cook! Our centers are focused on developing Little Learners from infancy to preschool. We make early education and daycare joyful, engaging, and fun so children are happy to LEARN, PLAY and GROW.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- 18 years of age or older
- 1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking
- Ability to meet state/local childcare licensing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals for children that meet proper nutritional requirements in alignment with TLE and CACFP standards.
- Ensure safety of all children by maintaining and tracking food allergies for each child in our center and communicate identified allergies to teachers daily with every food delivery.
- Adhere to proper food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures, ensuring that food is stored and managed properly.
- Partner with the Center Leadership team to purchase all food/supplies necessary and keep inventory records as required by local and state agencies and CACFP.
- Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards parents and children, listen, and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrates flexibility to the daily business need of a childcare center.
Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
